In an address to reporters His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, on the occasion of launching the internet site dedicated to the ITNS conference, has emphasized that Information Technology has become the backbone of life in modern societies, and should be used for achieving satisfaction and prosperity for mankind. . His Royal Highness added that the Presidency's organizing of this international conference stems from its responsibility for serving researchers, and those interested in IT in the Kingdom. It is also, through this conference, aiming to upgrade its workers and give them a chance to gain knowledge, as well as allowing for direct exchange with researchers and internationally renowned personalities in the field of IT. He added that the Presidency is working to invite prominent personalities, whether local or international, to partake in the conference.

Prince Muqrin disclosed in his address that the GIP, under instructions from the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, who are both personally following developments, is braced for a big program of upgrading which its details would be announced soon. He added that the King's instructions in this respect are very frank and clear to all sectors of the state, namely that they should work to serve the Saudi citizen and ensure his prosperity, as well preserving the developmental gains the Kingdom has achieved so far. Also that, there was no place for the negligent amongst us, because the state had provided to all sectors the resources they needed, and that it was up to us, to play our role now.

His Highness emphasized, in his address that the GIP, while celebrating 50 years since its establishment, was initially established to serve and nurture development in the Kingdom, and to provide a safe and secure life for all, including citizens and resident.
At the end of his statement to reporters, His Highness assured them that the GIP welcomes and extends an invitation to all who will participate in this international conference, wishing them luck and success in the future
